Privacy & Cookie Policy

How SiteLab collects, uses and protects your personal data, and how we use cookies.

Last updated: 5 November 2026

This privacy policy explains how SIA "DK Global Network" (trading as SiteLab) collects, uses and protects personal data when you visit our website sitelab.lv, contact us, or receive our commercial communications. We process personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and applicable Latvian law.

1. Data controller

The controller responsible for processing your personal data is:

SIA "DK Global Network"
Registration No.: LV44103114769
Address: Dzirnavu iela 27, Smiltene, Latvia
Email: davis.mikelsons@sitelab.lv
Phone: +36 70 428 1423

For any questions about data processing or to exercise your rights, contact us at the email above.

2. What data we collect

  • Contact data (contact form): the name, email address and message you voluntarily provide.
  • Website usage data (consent only): IP address, visitor and session identifiers, pages visited, device type, browser language, referrer and campaign (UTM) parameters.
  • Session recordings (consent only): anonymised recordings of your browsing session — mouse movements, clicks and page interactions — used to improve usability.
  • Outreach data: business email address and engagement with our emails (opens, clicks) — see the marketing section.

3. Purposes and legal basis

  • Responding to enquiries (contact form) — basis: steps taken at your request prior to entering a contract and our legitimate interest in replying (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR).
  • Website statistics and session recordings — basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You may withdraw consent at any time.
  • B2B commercial communications to businesses — basis: our legitimate interest in direct marketing to businesses (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
  • Website security and operation — basis: our legitimate interest in a secure, functioning website.

4. Statistics and session recording

On the website we use a first-party statistics tool (page views, session duration, device, referrer) and a session-replay tool (rrweb) that lets us see anonymised how visitors interact with the page. Both are optional and are loaded only after you give consent in the cookie banner. If you reject cookies, these tools are not loaded and the related cookies are not set.

You can change your choice at any time by clicking the "Cookies" link in the footer.

5. Cookies

A cookie is a small file a website stores on your device. We use the following cookies:

_sl_vidVisitor identifier for statistics1 yearStatistics (consent)
_sl_sidSession identifier for statisticsSessionStatistics (consent)

Strictly necessary cookies are required for the site to function. Statistics cookies are set only with your consent.

6. Marketing emails (B2B outreach)

SiteLab conducts business-to-business (B2B) direct marketing by email. For this we collect publicly available business contact data (company name, business email, address, industry, owner LinkedIn profile) from public sources — the Latvian Enterprise Register open data (data.gov.lv), firmas.lv, the public WHOIS database, and the Common Crawl web index.

We include in the database only publicly available legal-entity (company) business contact details — for example info@, office@ or other addresses published on the company's website or in a register. We never include or use private email addresses of natural persons (for example personal @gmail.com, @inbox.lv or similar accounts that are not published as a company contact).

Clients who subscribe to SiteLab's B2B email campaign service use this database only through the SiteLab platform: messages are sent on the client's behalf, naming the sender and including a valid unsubscribe link. Clients are not given a downloadable copy of the contact data, and we do not sell personal data as a standalone product.

Our emails contain a tracking pixel and redirect links that record opens and clicks using a daily-hashed IP address and browser information. We use this data only to measure the effectiveness of our communications.

Legal basis: Section 9 of Latvia's Information Society Services Law (commercial communications to legal persons with a right to refuse) and, where the data relates to an identifiable natural person, our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). You have the right to object at any time — use the unsubscribe link in the email or contact us, and we will stop sending immediately and add your address to our suppression list. Unsubscribing applies to all sending through the SiteLab platform — ours and our clients': nobody sends to an address on the suppression list again. On request, we add your company's whole domain to the list.

If you want to know what data about you or your company is in our database and where it came from, or want it deleted, write to us. We will reply within one month at the latest.

7. Recipients and processors

We do not sell your personal data and do not export a raw contact database. Client B2B email campaigns run only through the SiteLab platform, as described in the marketing emails section. Data may be processed on our behalf by carefully selected service providers (processors):

  • Microsoft Azure — website hosting and data storage (EU data centres).
  • Azure Communication Services — email delivery.
  • OpenAI — on-demand page translation (for additional languages).

We may disclose data to public authorities where required by law.

8. Payment processing

Payments are processed by the payment platform https://makecommerce.lv/, therefore our company transfers the personal data required to execute the payment to the platform owner, Maksekeskus AS.

Maksekeskus AS (reg. No. 12268475, Niine 11, Tallinn, Estonia) is a payment institution licensed by Eesti Pank. It receives only the data required to carry out the payment: the payment amount and currency, the invoice number, the payer's name or company name, email address and the IP address used for the payment.

We never receive or store your full payment card number — card details are entered and processed solely within the payment provider's secure environment. We receive only the payment outcome (succeeded / failed) and the transaction reference.

Legal basis: performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and our legal obligation in accounting and tax matters (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR). Payment and accounting records are retained for 5 years as required by the Latvian Accounting Law.

Maksekeskus AS privacy policy: makecommerce.lv/privatuma-politika.

9. Retention

  • Contact form messages — as long as needed to handle the enquiry and correspondence, normally no longer than 24 months.
  • Statistics data — for a limited period for aggregate analysis.
  • Session recordings — up to 30 days.
  • Marketing engagement data — while the legitimate interest exists or until you object.

After the retention period, data is deleted or anonymised.

10. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

  • access your personal data and receive a copy;
  • rectify inaccurate data;
  • erase data ("right to be forgotten");
  • restrict or object to processing, including direct marketing;
  • data portability;
  • withdraw consent at any time (without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing).

To exercise your rights, email us at davis.mikelsons@sitelab.lv.

11. Lodging a complaint

If you believe your data is being processed in breach of data protection rules, you may lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority:

Data State Inspectorate (Datu valsts inspekcija)
Elijas iela 17, Riga, LV-1050, Latvia
Email: pasts@dvi.gov.lv
Web: www.dvi.gov.lv

12. Validity of this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The current version is always available on this page, and in case of material changes we will notify you on the website. Please review this page periodically.
